Overview

WAVDSP provides audio software, licensing, trials, and customer support through wavdsp.com and related services. We collect only the information needed to operate accounts, process orders, deliver licenses, provide support, protect our products, and— where you choose—send product and marketing updates.

By creating an account, purchasing software, starting a trial, or using our website, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Information We Collect

Account and profile information

When you register or maintain a WAVDSP account, we may collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Hashed account password (we do not store plain-text passwords)
  • Optional profile details such as date of birth, billing address, city, postal code, and country
  • Account identifiers such as your internal user ID and Stripe customer ID

Google account linking (optional)

If you choose to link Google sign-in, we store your Google subject ID, linked email address, and whether Google reports that email as verified. We use this only to authenticate you and manage the linked sign-in method for your account.

Purchases, invoices, and licenses

When you buy software, we and our payment processor record:

  • Invoice identifiers, invoice numbers, totals, status, and purchase timestamps
  • Product and license entitlements associated with your account
  • License codes, license type (native or iLok), and activation status

Payment card details are processed by Stripe. WAVDSP does not store your full payment card number on our servers.

Identity verification (KYC)

For selected products and trial workflows, we require identity verification through Didit, our third-party verification provider.

What Didit collects: Didit may collect identity documents, biometric data, and other information required to perform verification under its own privacy policy.

What WAVDSP stores: We do not store identity documents, biometric data, or other sensitive KYC materials on our servers. We store only the verification outcome needed to manage account access and trial eligibility.

Why KYC is used: To reduce trial abuse, protect legitimate access, support copyright protection, and maintain traceability if evaluation builds are misused.

Is KYC mandatory? No, not for all services. KYC-required trials remain unavailable until verification is successfully completed.

For Didit-held data, contact Didit through Didit's Privacy Policy.

Communications and support

If you contact us by email or support channels, we process the information you provide so we can respond and maintain support records.

Technical and security information

  • Browser type, device information, and general usage logs
  • IP address and request metadata for fraud prevention and security
  • hCaptcha verification tokens during registration to prevent automated abuse
  • Authentication session data required to keep you signed in

Verification status references may be retained for as long as needed to manage trial eligibility and misuse investigations.

8

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including password hashing, authenticated account access, and restricted administrative controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
